There's a pattern I keep seeing with developers who use Claude to build things. Week 1: Everything's flying. Features ship fast. It feels like a superpower. Week 2: Still fast, but you're starting to notice context is getting messy. Week 3: Something breaks. You ask Claude to fix it. Claude fixes it and breaks something else. You're now spending more time explaining what was already built than actually shipping. By week 4, some people stop using Claude entirely. Others power through but feel stuck in a loop. Here's what's happening — and how to get out of it. The real problem isn't your prompts Most people assume they're bad at prompting. They go looking for better prompt templates, prompt chaining techniques, or ways to "jailbreak" better responses. That's the wrong diagnosis. The actual problem is structural debt .
