These numbers make the developer tools market look like a gold rush. But here is the uncomfortable truth nobody talks about at YC Demo Day: most developer tools make zero revenue. The graveyard of abandoned CLI utilities, half-finished IDE plugins, and shuttered SaaS dashboards is enormous.
