We had a conversation recently where I realized the gap between where I am with AI and where most people are -- even smart technical people -- is a canyon. Not a gap. What the Numbers Actually Say 1.1 billion people use AI tools globally. That's 13.3% of the world population. 31% of Americans have never tried any AI tool. Not even ChatGPT. Among active users, productivity gains vary by 6x between power users and average users. And only 5% of regular AI users do anything transformative with it. Most use it for search and summarizing.
