I Built a Framework to Supervise Multi-Agent LLM Systems Running on Free-Tier Providers: 52 Production Runs of the Deterministic Observability Framework (DOF) When a multi-agent system runs across five different LLM providers on free tiers, things break in ways that standard tooling cannot explain. Rate limits hit mid-execution, retries reuse exhausted providers, and output quality degrades without any mechanism to detect it. The agent finishes, returns a result, and nobody knows whether the output reflects genuine model capability or infrastructure failure. I spent the last few months building a framework to fix this.
