In this post, I’ll show you exactly which AI/ML/GenAI courses make sense for which job titles in 2026, so you don’t waste time on the wrong path. 1. Why random AI courses won’t get you hired in 2026 In 2026, companies don’t hire “people who did an AI course”, they hire for very specific roles like ML Engineer, Data Scientist, MLOps Engineer, or GenAI Engineer. If your learning path is not aligned to one of these concrete roles, you end up with certificates but no portfolio or skills that match job descriptions. Most generic AI courses try to cover “everything” at a surface level, which makes you good at nothing in particular.
