
Nuru: Rethinking Healthcare Workforce Management in Cameroon
Healthcare facilities across Africa share a common, persistent struggle — they can't reliably fill shifts with qualified professionals. Hospitals scramble to find nurses for overnight coverage. Clinics leave critical positions empty. Meanwhile, healthcare workers lack a transparent, secure way to find legitimate opportunities. The result is a fragile system where patients, facilities, and professionals all lose. Nuru is our answer to that problem. Being built by three engineers — Ayuk Giress, Davy Kennang, and myself — Nuru is a digital platform that connects healthcare facilities with qualified professionals through intelligent shift management, real-time communication, and verified credential tracking.
