Need Career Advice: Stuck After 2+ Years of Development Experience
I’m a frontend developer with around 2+ years of experience. I’ve worked with Shopify, WordPress, React, and Next.js, and I also have some professional experience with React Native. I’ve built a few production level apps and used Supabase and Firebase as backend services. Recently, I started learning Node.js to improve my backend understanding. The problem is… I’m struggling to land a proper job right now. Most of the roles I come across are internships, and I’ve already done one—I don’t want to go back to that stage again. Honestly, I feel a bit stuck and not sure what I’m missing. I’d really like some honest advice: What skills should I focus on to actually become more hireable? Am I missing something important even after having this experience? Should I double down on frontend or start moving toward full-stack/backend? If you were in my position, what would you do? Would appreciate real, honest feedback no sugarcoating.
