Auric Trade Collective didn’t begin as a software company. It started as a small reselling business focused on precious metals, gold and silver. The name Auric comes from gold, and in the beginning that made sense. We wanted to build something tangible, stable, and owned by the people actually doing the work. That idea of ownership, real ownership...mattered more to us than scale. Over time, we realized what we were truly interested in wasn’t just trade. It was autonomy. Worker ownership. Creative control. The ability to build systems without asking permission from gatekeepers or structuring everything around someone else’s platform. That realization slowly shifted ATC from physical trade into software. Today, Auric Trade Collective is a worker-owned software cooperative.
