I just open sourced Oryon, a local first desktop app for open source AI models

via Dev.toLuke

I just made Oryon public. Oryon is a local first desktop app for working with open source AI models on your own machine. It is built with Tauri, Rust, React, and llama.cpp. The idea was simple. I wanted a desktop app that feels like a real workspace, not just another chat window. Oryon lets you organize work by folder, chat with local models, and use tools like file access, terminal commands, git, and code search in one place. It is still early and definitely in alpha, but the core is there and I am excited to finally share it. If you are into local AI, developer tools, or desktop apps built with Tauri, I would love to hear what you think. GitHub: https://github.com/lulkebit/Oryon
