I built Tesla Dog Mode for macOS because my AI agents kept dying.

via Dev.toErik Nielsen

You leave your desk. Your AI agents are mid-task. You have three options. Close the lid. Mac sleeps. Agents die. Lock the screen. Mac sleeps. Agents die. Leave it open and unlocked. Hope for the best. Yes, don’t-go-to-sleep-apps are around. They do not stop someone from walking up to your machine and… doing stuff. So I built a little tool for that, link below! One custom hotkey. Screen goes dark. All input blocked. Your agents keep working. Hotkey or Touch ID to get back in. Tesla’s Dog Mode, but for your Mac. Free and open source. Fork it, improve it, stick it in a stew. 🥔 No accounts. No analytics. No data leaves your machine. Gotten far more stars on GitHub than I ever could have imagined, being my first open source project, than basically being one of my first projects ever. I've been a designer for 20 years, but I'm trying to get into actually building stuff now. https://github.com/sorkila/lockpaw https://getlockpaw.com Happy to answer questions or have discussions around it.
