
I Built Nourly — A Simple Calorie Tracking App Powered by Apple Intelligence
I recently launched Nourly, a calorie tracking app designed to make logging food as simple as possible. Most calorie apps are overloaded with features, complicated databases, and slow search systems. I wanted something faster and more natural — an app where you can simply type what you ate and get an estimated calorie breakdown instantly. That’s where Apple Intelligence comes in. Nourly uses Apple’s on-device intelligence to interpret natural language food entries. Instead of searching a database for individual ingredients, you can just type something like: “Chicken fajita wrap with peppers and sauce” The app then estimates the calories and nutritional information automatically. Everything happens directly on the device, so it’s fast and private. The goal with Nourly is not to replace every advanced nutrition tracker, but to make calorie tracking frictionless for people who just want quick daily awareness of what they’re eating.
