I built a lightweight AI mentions checker because “AI visibility” advice felt too vague

Everyone seems to be talking about AI visibility right now, but a lot of the advice still feels vague. You hear the phrase everywhere, but when you try to pin it down, the practical side gets fuzzy fast. Are people talking about rankings, mentions, citations, retrieval, or visibility inside chat-based answers? A lot of the time, the conversation becomes bigger and more abstract than it needs to be. That was the main reason I built a lightweight tool around the idea. I wanted something simpler and more practical for site owners, developers, and smaller web projects that just want to understand one thing: how does a site actually show up in AI-generated answers?
