What's actually happening These founders didn't find a clever distribution hack. They just refused to skip the boring parts — and they started them in month one , not after launch. Email list. Talking to customers. Consistent publishing. SEO. Not as a marketing phase. As part of how they build. The trend is spreading because solo founders are realizing paid ads are expensive and unreliable at zero scale. Organic compounds. Ads don't. But here's where the hype diverges from reality: most people read these posts and think "I need to do content marketing." That's the wrong lesson. The real lesson is timing.
