From the Roadside to the Web: Building a Portfolio Platform for Independent Artists
The Community In my country, it's common to see artists roaming the streets, paintings tucked under their arms, trying to sell their work to passersby. It's a hustle born of passion — but also of necessity, because there simply isn't a better way for many of them to reach buyers. This became personal for me because my own brother was one of those artists. I watched him walk the streets, talented work in hand, with no platform and no audience beyond whoever happened to walk by. That image never left me. Artelier was built for him — and for every independent painter, illustrator, and creator like him — who deserves a professional space to showcase their work, sell their art, and receive commissions, without giving up a cut to a faceless marketplace or being limited to the reach of a sidewalk. The goal: give street-level talent a world-class online home they truly own. What I Built 🖼️ For Visitors / Art Collectors Browse curated galleries and collections with smooth animations and skeleto
