The contact rate -- the percentage of leads your agents actually reach and have a real conversation with -- sits upstream of every other number that matters. If you can not get humans on the phone, nothing else in your pipeline works. And the reality in 2026 is brutal. Hiya analyzed 46.75 billion unknown calls in 2023 and found that 28% were tagged as suspected spam or fraud. Carriers are blocking aggressively. STIR/SHAKEN attestation matters more than ever.
