Anthropic dropped something big yesterday. Not a new chat model, not a productivity feature. They revealed that an unreleased model called Claude Mythos Preview has been quietly finding thousands of critical security vulnerabilities across every major operating system and every major web browser. Some of these bugs are 27 years old. They are not releasing the model publicly. Instead, they launched Project Glasswing, a coalition with Apple, Microsoft, Google, AWS, CrowdStrike, NVIDIA, the Linux Foundation, and others. The goal: patch the bugs before attackers build similar AI. Most of the coverage I have seen reads like a rewritten press release.
