Barangay Bulletin Board — A Digital Community Hub for Filipino Neighborhoods
This is a submission for the DEV Weekend Challenge: Community The Community In the Philippines, a barangay is the smallest administrative unit of government — essentially a neighborhood or village. Every Filipino lives in one. Barangays handle everything from local announcements and community events to reporting neighborhood issues like broken streetlights or flooding. The problem? Most barangays still communicate through physical bulletin boards , printed flyers, or informal Facebook group chats. Information gets lost, residents miss important announcements, and there's no structured way to report local issues or coordinate community help. I built this for the residents of Butuan City, Agusan del Norte — my own community — to give them a proper digital space to stay informed, engaged, and connected with their barangay.
