Hi, my name is Yendy and this is my opening post! After a long hiatus I have returned to the world of programming. But not without a torch and spear in my hand. Having been a developer for many years, I've seen a lot. From my early days in "skiddie" circles and the Network Chuck discord server, to running teams of devs through online group projects, I have been everywhere. However, these past two years hit hard. I developed a moderate case of FND, which affected my memory, and put me out for a while. My performance tanked, I lost my job, and I dropped my projects. Thus I was put on a different life track. Having time to reflect lately, I've come to a very long and hard conclusion. The software community isn't ready for the years to come. A community filled previously with life, pursuit, and passion has become somewhat a downer. I see Discord servers with hundreds of members which sit dormant, awaiting the owner to delete them. I see dev portfolios becoming advertisements of AI engageme
