anthropic mythos, Where Secrecy Becomes Social Proof

There are two kinds of AI launches: launches that ship a product, and launches that manufacture an atmosphere. Anthropic Mythos has been covered as the former. It is much more interesting as the latter. The verified facts fit in one paragraph. Anthropic has previewed Mythos, described it as a highly capable model, wrapped the release in heavy security framing, and limited access via Project Glasswing to a small set of large tech and cybersecurity firms including names Fortune reported as Amazon, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Nvidia, and CrowdStrike. TechCrunch, WIRED, Ars Technica, and Fortune all describe some version of the same pattern: unusual safety evaluations, defensive-security positioning, and deliberately narrow distribution.
