
AI, IoT and the Human Factor: Rebuilding an Undocumented Enterprise Network
Introduction When I joined the organization as an IT infrastructure leader, one of the first challenges I encountered was a situation that many companies eventually face: the infrastructure had evolved over many years, but the documentation had not kept up with the technology. There were no reliable network diagrams, incomplete equipment inventory, and in many cases even administrator credentials were undocumented or scattered across multiple systems. At the same time, the company had been rapidly adopting new technologies including industrial automation systems, VoIP telephony, wireless networks, surveillance systems, and an increasing number of IoT devices.
