Accenture told its senior managers and associate directors this month that regular use of the firm's internal AI tools is now a factor in promotion decisions. Not familiarity. Not completion of a training module. Active, tracked usage — logged through Microsoft Copilot data and internal dashboards. The company trained 550,000 of its 780,000 employees in generative AI over the past year. That's 70% of the workforce. The training is done. The mandate phase has begun.
