A simple post-launch checklist that keeps web clients happy for months

via Dev.toXander Taylor

Most client projects feel successful at launch day and painful two months later. The fix is not more features. It is a better post-launch process. Here is the checklist I run for every handoff. Technical analytics installed and verified search console connected forms tested end-to-end basic performance baseline saved Content and ownership owner knows how to update key sections shared doc with hosting, DNS, CMS, credentials process change request path is clear Commercial support window defined maintenance options sent in writing response times agreed Communication one walkthrough recording delivered one-page summary of what changed and why Clients do not remember implementation details. They remember whether things stay easy after launch. This checklist reduced support noise and improved retention for me. I run Tizzle, a solo web agency in Manchester. → xandertaylor.org
